This year's Christmas tree
Dec. 22nd, 2018 01:00 pmWhile moving around (too many) boxes in search of Christmas decorations I found a silver tree that I bought a few years ago. It reminded me of the huge silver tree we had for a while as a kid.
So here it is with two smaller silver trees on either side. Scaling the trees are some Anna Lee elves (that I also found in my search for decorations) There's a small owl in one tree, and beneath the trees are a polar bear and a baby seal (no hunting going on) as well as a couple of sparkly green gift boxes. There's a single red elf as a tree topper, and some other sparkly silver things.
I think it came out pretty nice. Different, but nice.

The second photo isn't that good, but shows it finished.

'Twas Three Days Before Christmas...
Dec. 22nd, 2018 09:02 am... and all through our house here at Section VII we still have things to do. The Christmas Round Robin is waiting on the next chapter, and the Christmas Tree is waiting for some comments and annecdotes to decorate its limbs.
Later today we'll see the invitation to post your entries for Writer's & Reader's Choice.
I hope the season is treating you well, personally I'm always slightly unprepared. It seems I get so far and then I get confused. And earlier, in September, I prepared my artwork and ordered my cards, hoping to have things done sooner rather than later. When the time came to address and hand out cards, I couldn't find them. I still haven't located them, so have had to order more... I'm still working on this and had to do a card that hints at New Years... just in case I'm really late getting it out.
Let's all try and take a moment to sit and relax, read some MFU and dream a little of the blond and brunet we love.
Happy Almost There ;)

It's Christmas Eve; everyone is gettting ready for the big day and making last minute preparations.
Some of you get together on the Eve instead of Christmas day; but which ever day you celebrate together, please know that we wish you a happy holiday. We often get caught up in the secular and forget that in the Christian belief we are also celebrating the birth of our Savior, the Son of God...the Christ Jesus. So in the midst of the merriment, take a moment to remember that.
If you have a neighbor who is alone, as there are many people out there who have no one...reach out to them, let them know they're not forgotten, not just at Christmas but throughout the year.

Post your Christmas wishes and greetings

The comments have been sparse this year,
So please take a secon to give us a wish, a prayer, a thought...
whatever comes to mind.
Thank you to everyone who has commented already!
Given the state of the world...
I'd say we all 'need a little Christmas now.'
