Illya's long hair was the prompt for this challenge...
...................................................................................

"What did you say?"  Illya's palor was obvious, the eyebrows arched menacingly as the nurse stepped away from the Russian.

"I, um... I said ...' Nurse Barry sincerely wished she didn't have to make this pronouncement.

"You have head lice Mr. Kuryakin.  I am so sorry, but we're going to... the method of ..."

Here's one I haven't thought about in a long time.
I enjoyed writing this story,
and hopefully you will enjoy reading it.
The Twisted Thread Affair on ff.net

Spike started this story and invited any cousin to continue it, so I wrote Part II.  The link takes you to the "Secrets Past" Collection in AO3 containing both stories.

It also happens that someone did write a Part III under the title "Who'd Think It" which to my knowledge, is only posted on ff.net.  It's a good chapter and worth reading.  If someone knows the author, perhaps they can reach out to her and encourage her to add the chapter to the AO3 collection.  I'm having a brain fart right now because I don't remember the author's name.  I did reach out at the time I read it, but never heard back.

Enjoy!

Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3

“The men who threatened you, were they Egyptian?” Kuryakin asked. His usual cool demeanor seemed slightly different, unsettled perhaps.

“Yes they were. There were three of them and each wore a silver pendant with an Egyptian symbol.

“Another cult?” Illya moaned.

Napoleon nodded, well aware of his partner’s nervousness when it came to dealing with cultists.  The poor guy had nearly been mummified three times, and that was three times too many.” *

Illya's long hair was the prompt for the challenge.

They grabbed him from behind and pulled him into an alleyway not far from Del Floria’s Tailor Shop.  The Russian struggled to free himself but there were just too many of them, four to be precise and all wearing masks.

He presumed them to be T.H.R.U.S.H. but instead of knocking him out or killing him, Illya found himself held down. He had no idea what they were going to do to him; an injection perhaps?

I've recc'ed these in the past but I'm going to do it again. I was transferring some stories to AO3 and ff.net and realised that I have posted 100 drabbles and double drabbles. This link will take you to AO3.

As a taster, here is number 15 in the series, 'Run'.

.................................

"Run Illya! There isn't much time."

The Russian followed hard on Napoleon's heels, without even knowing why they were running. All he knew was that the American had suddenly started sprinting and called for him to run after him. Glancing behind, Illya could see nothing or no-one in pursuit of them, which meant they must be dashing towards something.

"Napoleon, what's your hurry?" he called to his partner's back. "Are we late for an appointment with Mr Waverly?"

"No," Solo yelled back. "We have to get to the end of this drabble before we run out of . . ."
