The Round Table - Are You Watching Decades TV?

I've been hearing from some and reading accounts of the MFU Marathon on Decades TV.  Sadly, I do not have that service, but for those of you who do, or if you've been able to catch episodes elsewhere, here the question:
Why is it so intriguing to watch the show on televison when (if) you have the DVD set?  Why does it just seem more exciting for it to be broadcast?
And do you think this 'resurrection' has something to do with the upcoming movie?  The series has been pretty well ignored by other nostalgia networks, so why is it part of the new buzz?
It's a rainy day here in Kentucky, I wish I could watch an MFU marathon.

Oh I'm sure it's being resurrected because of the movie. Just because it's a marathon session now doesn't mean it won't be rebroadcast again when the Decades channel officially launches its regular schedule in approximately 35 days. What they're doing now is a preview.

I can't explain why watching it on TV as opposed to viewing the DVD's is more exciting. I guess it makes it feel like it's being broadcast for real, nostalgia...I suppose?

When viewing the DVD's you have to move on to the next episode, but now it's being done for you. No fuss no muss. Boy is it bringing back memories.

Due to a case of insomnia I was up all night so at least I had something good to watch.
Season 1 is really good, perhaps the best of all the seasons. Less tongue in check, decent scripts for the most part and black and while really does give some of the episodes a real film noir feel.

Season 1 really is stellar, it's why they received so much hoopla and nominations for the show.
