And the second round begins! I'll just drop the characters from The Odd Man Affair back into the action. ;) ... And I'll just edit this. I hope this version will look better; I honestly have no memory of that part of the canon. Definitely time for a re-watch....
As the apparent leader of the THRUSH group, Mr. Ecks had been placed in a holding cell away from the others. He had come prepared for capture and managed to release himself with a device hidden in the hem of his trenchcoat. As he wandered the corridor with a previously purloined, treated badge, he heard an animated Cockney voice.
“Well, hello there, my good man.”
“Hey! What are you-”
Before the guard could complete his sentence, he was unconscious on the floor. His assailant stepped back with a smirk. “Nice to see you’re on top of your game, so to speak.”
“Wye!” Ecks ran out.
“Good, you’re free.” Wye was pleased. “Let’s go. I found out everybody’s goin’ back to the restaurant where this madness started.”
“What for?” Ecks was surprised.
“Seems they just figured out THRUSH ain’t behind this.”
“I hope THRUSH doesn’t figure out we’re undercover investigating them,” Ecks muttered. “We never could have got in if they’d realized who we really are and that we betrayed our old organization.”
Wye felt likewise as they slipped outside. THRUSH would kill them upon learning the truth. And Wye wasn’t going to come so close to losing his friend again.

Date: 2015-09-28 12:04 pm (UTC)Just an fyi...said fake badges would have to have a substance applied to them by the finger tips of the receptionist at the agent's entrance, (that's what keeps the intruder alarms from going off) so I'm assuming Mr. Wye was able to do this?
The receptionists control the badges at the desk, so she would have to have given a badge to him. Not him having fake badges...so a little confused by this. It's not the badge that's the security measure but the substance put on it at reception. That's why someone just can't grab a badge and put it on...the receptionist has to handle it and give it to the agent.
Also Mr. Ecks stealthily wandering the corridors would have immediately set off the klaxons as he didn't have a badge...
All that aside, so a new turn at bat for Ecks and now with his buddy Wye! I was wondering where Mr. Wye was?

I wonder too. LOL. ;) He must have been off somewhere on another part of the assignment.
Thank you!

Don't worry about rewriting it ..it's just a technicality It's Wye helping Ecks to escape that's the important part.

Date: 2015-09-28 11:09 pm (UTC)... I wonder if there's any chance Mr. Waverly is aware of their escape and lets it happen because he somehow found out they are not really THRUSH and he thinks they might be useful/valuable. Hmmm.
There's definitely going to be a lot going on at the restaurant!
Thank you!
