This month, in honor of Halloween, I’m asking challenge takers to work a Halloween reference into their story.
Challenge # 1:
Season Two’s “The Waverly Ring Affair” introduced us to several concepts that were not mentioned again during the course of the series: Detraining, HQ exits that were not through Del Floria’s, File 40 and the Waverly Ring itself. The challenge is to take any or all of those concepts and write a story that includes a Halloween reference.
Challenge # 2:
Season Two’s “The Bridge of Lions Affairs” has Napoleon and Illya on two prongs of the same mission, Illya in London following cats while Napoleon’s in Paris looking up the tragic Lorelei Lancer of La Sala Couture. They ultimately find out that two scientists have discovered how to reverse aging. One interesting thing about this episode is that the viewer actually gets a time reference in that Sir Norman is age – regressed and informed by his wife a month later that he must have monthly treatments in order to maintain his youthfulness. The challenge is what side effects (other than aging) did the rejuvenation process have? Please include a Halloween reference.
If you have already written a story that you think addresses the challenge, by all means, please repost it.
As always, there are rules and these are the GEC’s:
- The story must be minimally 500 words long. There is no maximum length.
- Please remember that Section VII is a Gen and Gen-mature site and stories published here must fall into those categories. If enough interest is shown for a slash version of this challenge, it will be placed in a community that celebrates that version of MFU.
- The Subject line should include the phrase “Great Episode Challenge,” the date, and the story’s title. The episode title and the question being answered should be included in the body of the post at the top.
4. Please use the tag “Great Episode Challenge.”5. The Challenge will post on the first Thursday of the month and stories will post on the third Thursday. If you miss the posting date, no worries; post when you can making sure you follow Rule 3.
Happy writing!
