We love them.  They are our heroes from an age when heroism meant being pretty nearly indestructible, incorruptible and, above all... handsome.
Whether it's the blond or the brunet, our men from UNCLE have held our hearts for decades if we're among the first generation.  For the late comers, I commend you for embracing the offerings of another generation.
So, who do you love?  Is it the suave and handsome Solo, stealing hearts and, by all accounts, virtue from those willing to surrender?  Or is it the brooding, enigmatic Russian, Kuryakin of Kiev?  The blond bombshell without the big boom, just a subtle effect of mesmerizing his female conquests with those cool blue eyes.
Tell us who and why, because we all have a reason for loving a Man from UNCLE.

I don't have a favorite. The main appeal of the show for me is their relationship. I love them as a team.

Oh Illya was my first crush, and I guess he still is. Talk about longevity. Napoleon never appealed to me 'that' way as, frankly he physically reminded me of my brothers. No girl crush on my brothers, yikes. Still as a character I've come to appreciate him for his strengths; his optimism and incorruptibility and yes, his weaknesses too.

Illya was always the enigmatic, yet seemingly vulnerable guy with that gorgeous hair and eyes....oh yes and those lips. Sigh. He was mysterious, loyal, athletic and intelligent.

I was sort of an enigmatic mixture of being very intelligent and athletic so in some ways I could relate to him. Loyalty is something I value highly...

The devotion to each other as partners and to UNCLE was thrilling, and gave hope that they could defeat all the evils in the world.

Illya all the way since the first airing of the very first episode. He was the odd one, he didn't fit the norm and neither did I! It was wonderful to see someone on television that was not the "perfect American ideal" - I could identify with that.

Illya definitely was the one who captured my attention from the very beginning. In my 12 year old mind Napoleon Solo struck me as insincere, a bit oily with his charm (does that make any sense?), to the point that in my mind I had equated NS with RV and decided I didn't like RV. Since then I have matured and have seen several of his movies and works and think he is great. Illya was handsome, sincere, and a mystery and not "oozy" with the women.

It was always Illya for me. I was 11 when the show premiered so it must have hit me at the deepest level before the teenage years started. That said, I think it was the relationship between the two friends that kept me interested.

Though I was (and still am) drawn to Illya more, I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] vmccooley; Illya and Napoleon are a team and are best together.
