A close call had resulted in two men lying in Medical with an assortment of ailments, not the least of which was an intolerable case of humiliation.

"You could have warned me Illya.  You knew that patch of poison ivy was out there."  The blond rolled his eyes, remembered saying something to his partner about the dangers at hand.

"I did tell you Napoleon.  You weren't listening.  You were engaged in a … conversation."  The girl involved had managed to escape being poisoned by the heinous plant.

"Oh.  Yeah, I remember now.  Well, in the future…"

"Yes, keep your pants on."

Ewwwww, what an image. That reminds me, I have to get rid of some of that heinous plant in my garden. Time to put on a hazmat suit, boots and gloves!

Great drabble!

Or should this have been "Heiney Sight"? Lol! Had my run-ins with this plant's evil cousin, poison oak, and it is not pretty! My brother, who was a firefighter for California Department of Forestry back in the day, used to battle the smoke and ash from the plants and get it in his uniforms, very nasty indeed!

I love the whole Angelique/Napoleon/Illya dynamic. If you watch the episodes she appears in, Illya is simply watching out for his partner because he thinks Napoleon is taking unnecessary risks with their lives; something he sees no point in. Romance is something Napoleon can find anywhere, and though Illya gets his own kind of thrills playing dice with death when he disarms explosives or sets up a bomb, Angelique is one type of explosive he sees no benefit in setting off.

Ha ha! This really hits me where I live! Went camping last week at a state park and there was poison ivy all over our site. We stayed in a small cabin and really had no other choice of cabins. I was itching just seeing it! (I'm highly allergic) We managed to stay away from it and only used firewood from elsewhere. Did you know you can get it days later from shoes you wore while walking through a patch?

Cute title, btw.

Ouch, I'm glad we don't have that here. Loved it :-)

We have nothing that nasty. We do have nettles, but they only sting a little. A tiny minority of people sometimes experience severe allergic reactions to it. All in all, we're fairly lucky when it comes to our flora and fauna.
