Writer's Choice was again a success! Thanks to Avery, jkkitty, Carabele, Glennagirl, Alynwa ( and yours truly, though I'm not thanking myself) who posted links to stories ranging from birthdays, thanksgiving/gratitude, the Cuban Missile crisis, the assasination of Kennedy, acts of kindness...and so much more.  Made for a lot of great reading!

 Hope to see more of you posting links to your fics next week....omgosh, that would be 'Black Friday' here, the day after Thanksgiving! It might shock some people to think that accountants used to use actual ink years ago when adding up balance sheets.  Red ink was used exclusively to indicate losses.

When the balance sheet made it out of the red, accountants would grab black ink pen and start tallying. This meant they were making a profit.

Black Friday was termed due to this phenomenon of sales going from the red into the black...enough history. Where is the time going? Before you know it, it'll be Christmas, New Years and 2014...sigh.

So post your links before you head out looking for those great holiday sales! Oh for the good old days when the holidays meant warm fuzzy feelings with families getting together...and not frenzied shopping forays.

Writer's Choice: The Moon and Memories

Why I like it: In my head, Napoleon comes from an affluent background, so why did his life head in the direction it did? I think it was in response to the outcome of his marriage. While on a mission, the moon causes him to remember and want to share. I envision this as happening in the fourth or fifth year of their partnership.
