Knowing time was short before that bathroom door opened, April abandoned her search for her own things, quickly dressing in the least restrictive of the clothing options. If she had to make a run for it, she was not going to do it in lingerie if it could be avoided.

She almost jumped out of her skin when there was a knock at the door. A glance through the peephole showed her that room service had arrived with a well laden wheeled table. Letting him in, she sighed to herself. The condemned were entitled to a hearty meal, after all.

Nothing Changes - A Little Drabble Do Ya - 23 July 2014

When he’d left the land of his birth, he’d been Russian. Now, over fifty years later, he was Ukrainian. He still wasn’t certain what his feelings were on that score, as he’d live more of his life in other countries than he had lived there. Back then, the world had been on a precipice, and along with his colleagues, he’d done all he could to protect the innocents of that world.

As he watched the news coming from Ukraine, and felt the ever building tensions between Kiev and Moscow, Illya Kuryakin wondered if there had been any point at all.

Cheesecake - A Little Drabble Do Ya

“I would like the cheesecake, please...’ Illya accepted the luscious dessert from the blushing young woman behind the counter.

“I hope you like it, I made it.”  A shy admission for the handsome blond to consider.  Was food truly the way to a man’s heart?

“Thank you ... Melissa.  I am sure it is very good.”  Illya headed to a table in the corner where his partner waited with a slice of cold lemon meringue pie.

“Cheesecake?  It’s ninety degrees outside.”

“Your point?”  Illya slid the first bite into his mouth, savoring the creamy goodness.  Just watching made Napoleon’s mouth water.
