It's Saturday again, and the weather is changing. It was in the 50's (that's 12-ish for those who use celsius) last night. Alas summer is disappearing and yet it's still August? The sky, the air feel like fall is already here.

Here's a chance to post links to your hot...ummm, I mean 'favorite' MFU stories that you written or links to ones penned by your favorite authors.   Remember we're a Gen site, so appropriate links please.

This story was never posted on Section VII and is the first story in my developing series "The Senior Man From U.N.C.L.E."

It was inspired initially by the political troubles that were just beginning in Ukraine, but morphed into something a bit more whimsical and light-hearted.  A few unanswered questions that I'd left open in my AU series where Illya and Napoleon meet their future wives, eventually marry and have children are either answered or hinted at. (though these are stories that have yet to be written...but are in the works)

The second in this 'senior' series "Courage Is..." was just posted  on August 12 http://section7mfu.livejournal.com/701949.html

Readers requested info on the 'other' senior story I happened to mention in my comments.

So here it is:   https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10038177/1/Times-have-changed

I hope you find it interesting or perhaps amusing. Comments are most welcome!

This was originally written for a PicFic that had a photo of water with ripples ringing the center point. I like it for the solemnity of the relationship on this early morning call to duty.  The partners can finish each other's sentences, read each other's minds... They both dread and relish what they do. This is more a vignette than a short story, so just a few swallows of coffee.
Someone recently left a kudos for this story on AO3, and it reminded me that I had considered doing a continuation of it; the mission itself needs to be explored.  I'm adding it to the list.
By the way, apologies for being so long continuing (or finishing) the April/Illya soap opera.  I'll get back to it next week.  I promise.

Ad Infinitum

A shot is fired.

A nation is sent into chaos.

The ripples created by one lone act of violence reach into the lives of people all around the world.

One man, among just a few, has enough power to stop the ripples from turning into a tsunami with global implications.  If he chooses wisely from among the men at his disposal, those who will carry out his plans, then the world may yet recover from this latest setback.

Tune In, Turn On

Why I Like It:  Who doesn't like bunnies?  Illya shows his protective side.  The link goes to AO3.

This scene from The Vulcan Affair had to be added after the fact because of the change in actors portraying the Chief.  In the pilot, Solo, another actor portrayed Mr. Allison, who was the Section I head.
A few things of note here:
It seems that early on someone decided that Kuryakin should be seen often in a white shirt with the (dare we say sexy?) shoulder holster.  This must have been a purposeful decision because it is repeated often.
Mr. Waverly is standing in the hallway.  I don't recall that he ever did this again.
Napoleon's hair is parted on the wrong side.
The light trousers on the Russian.  It was actually a nice look.
