The Round Table - Vacation?

There are a few episodes where a reference is made or a scene supports the idea that our agents do indeed take vacations.  In Terbuf the two are together in Italy, one would assume at the end of a mission.  In the Foxes and Hounds Affair Napoleon is just returning from a vacation when he is put to work without any idea of the details.
A lot of fiction has the two pretty much joined at the hip as they spend all of their off hours together.  The question then is, do you think these two men would have been together in their off time as a matter of friendship, lack of other social contacts...?  I know there is that other POV but I'm not talking about a physical relationship.  I just wonder if we have it right about their abiding loyalty on and off the job.
Devil's Advocate time, but I'm thinking they have a lot of time apart when given the choice, if for no other reason than the need to decompress from the job.
Anyone?

"I really miss Spostsycool," Illya mumbled.
"Yeah, me too, tovarisch.  I wonder if we could just show up at her door to wish her a happy birthday?"
"I do not think she would mind; if anything we could have a little party in her honor."
"Sounds like a plan chum? You have her address?"
"Ermm, no. I am sure we can get it."
"Well, let's do it then,"Napoleon grinned."You get the cake."
"And what will you be bringing?"
"Other than myself?"
"Hmm, champagne perhaps, flowers?"
"I'm broke Illya, can you loan me the money?"
"What else is new," Illya pulled out his money clip from his pocket, tossing it to his partner.

"Whoa!" Napoleon juggled it in his hands."Are you crazy?"
"Do you really think I would toss you an exploding money clip my friend?
You owe me too much money as it is," Illya smirked.
"Smart Russian."
"But of course..."
