Great Episode Challenge for December, 2015

Challenge # 1:
In season one’s “The Girls of Nazarone Affair,” Napoleon and Illya give the Innocent, Livinia Brown, $25,000 to “throw around” to attract the attention of Dr. Egret aka Madame Strygor. In today’s dollars, that is the equivalent of $189, 977! They also made it clear that the money and whatever she bought with it was hers to keep. It seemed like money was no object when it came to completing their mission.
Do you think when they submitted their mission report, Mr. Waverly just signed off on it as “business as usual” or did they have some ‘splaining (explaining) to do? Do you think all of the Section II agents had access to that kind of cash or were they able to get it because Napoleon is CEA and half of UNCLE’s top team? The challenge is to write a story that addresses the use of expense accounts.
Challenge # 2:
In season three’s “The Jingle Bells Affair,” there wasn’t a lot of the silliness that marked what many see as MFU’s worst season. What is there is a nod to the holidays in New York City; the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s Department Store, and the Salvation Army. We even had the Khrushchev – like Georgi Koz dressed up like Santa Claus and bringing cheer and hope to a small boy who, oddly, had a mother, but seemed to live in the Salvation Army’s orphanage.
The challenge here is to take any or all of the characters in this episode and write a Christmas story.
By all means, if you have already written a story that addresses either challenge, please repost it!
As with any Challenge, there are rules. Here's the rules for this one:
