The weekend got past me and I didn't get a chance to be on LJ enough to post or read anything, just checked in to make sure we're still humming along.  And we are, thanks to all of you.
I have an idea for a challenge over in the Map Room, and would like some feedback before I make it official.  Somewhere in my half awake state the other night I thought of this: The Happy Endings Challenge.  It would be an opportunity to write that romantic, happily ever after that you've been thinking about but never put to paper... or computer.
We can post in the [livejournal.com profile] mfu_map_room which is where we put AU/Romance/Het...  All the things not included in the strictly Gen genre.  Of course we're not all that strict, but I do think marriage and children need to be in the Map Room, so...
What say ye?  Even a moderately positive response will get it in the Calendar, but I'm hoping we have some real interest in this challenge idea.
Post your comments, ideas and suggestions for all of us to enjoy and embrace.  And don't get too frustrated if Napoleon starts to back out.  I am confident that someone can get that man to the altar.

I’ve just remembered that I hadn’t posted this yet. I’ll blame my fuzzy head.

Anyway, below the cut you will find the prompts for stories due on October 3rd. (This year is going by far too quickly for my liking.) You’ll also find everything you need to know regarding the rules of the challenge.

There is still plenty of time to contribute to today’s posts from last week’s prompts. If you want to join in, you’ll find those prompts right here.

Remember, Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in the Map Room. You’ll find the link for it down the side there.

Have fun.

It was a cheerless morning; the day of the exchange. The leaves had already fallen from the trees, what ones not stuck to the damp ground swirled around beneath his feet. The air was filled with a cold mist as he shrugged his trench coat to keep warm.

“Peachy,” Napoleon Solo mumbled to himself. It felt like it could snow; if Illya were here he’d know for sure.

“The truck! There it goes, come on," Illya yelled to his partner as he took off in a dead run down the sidewalk. Napoleon was startled into action by the urgency in Kuryakin’s voice.

“The choice is yours, Kuryakin.”

Illya, who hadn’t attempted to escape his bonds, spat into the face of his captor. It earned him a slap that caused his head to make painful contact with the wall, to which he was chained.

“All you have to do is give us the information we want in exchange for your freedom.”
