An AU story of the future Kuryakin family

It’s been an eventful week. I took my oldest to college, which inspired this vignette. It fit with a prompt from May. I hope to expand it eventually.


Illya pulled the heavy box to the edge of the trunk. “Here, take this.” He looked over his shoulder and found he had been talking to empty air. “Now where did he go?”

Sasha pushed a wheeled bin toward the van. “Lee? He’s already got his nose to the grindstone.”

Illya’s gaze followed his son’s pointing finger to the women’s wing of the dormitory. An identical blond leaned against the railing of the loading dock, talking to a girl with a clipboard.

Short Affair PROMPTS for July 8th

So, we arrive in July and, for those of us in the Northern hemisphere, the temperatures are rising. Not that Napoleon and Illya, or any other agent has time for sunbathing.

You'll find the prompts for July 1st down below the cut. For stories due today, simply follow this link.

Don't forget, you can now chose to use one of the prompt words, or to use both in your story (not forgetting the colour element), remembering to state which combination of prompts you are using.

Remember, Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in mfu_map_room.

Title: “Au chocolat!”

Word count: sorry, slightly over

Pretty much everyone at headquarters was aware of the tight bond that existed between Napoleon Solo and his partner Illya Kuryakin, though there were some who weren’t happy about it.

There were still a few members of the New York office who resented the Russian’s presence; they continued whispering Commie and Pinko behind Illya’s back.  Those whispers however were becoming fewer and fewer.

That seemed to get Kuryakin to finally let down his guard, letting his Ice Prince persona take a back door as it were.  As of late he smiled more and was quite chatty with everyone, especially the ladies of the secretarial pool.
