About Abstemious

“Abstemius” in Latin is spelled slightly differently from its English counterpart, abstemious, but they mean the same thing. “Ab” means from and “temetum” means alcoholic drink. An abstemious man is one who does not indulge in excessive food or drink.

Did you Know?

There’s a fun trick hidden in the word abstemious. Take a look at the vowels — notice anything? Each vowel appears only once and in alphabetical order. Feel free to use this bit of trivia at your next happy hour.

I'm going to keep this thread of comments open for as long as we are here in the waiting room.  I think it's been helpful to hear from everyone, letting us all know how it's going and how you're thinking... Our version of a therapy session perhaps.

Please do check in if you haven't already, and feel free to post if you'd like to open a discussion or get some feedback on whatever it is you're thinking about these days.  The comm is open for us, and in addition to writing it is a space for connecting in these peculiar days.
