Okay, so this is Section VII on Dreamwidth, and I'm still importing entries from LJ, although I've missed a few days and need to get back to it. seagull2eagle has kindly offered to transfer our banner over to this comm, so that's very cool. It will look more like home I think.
If you're reading here on DW, please let us know.  I don't have a picture yet of how this is going, utilizing both  platforms, and it would be interesting and helpful to know where the majority of folks are tending to MFU business.  If you would just post a comment regarding your preferences.
Obviously this is being generated on DW, but I will post it on LJ as well, in order to get some feedback.

Am on LJ at the moment. Yesterday I sent out invitation for cousins to join Section VII over on Dreamwidth, but there's still quite a few of our members on Section VII here how don't have a DW account, or they've joined under a different name.

I really think erring in the side of caution and opening a Dreamwidth account right now is a good idea, it's being proactive, even if you don't use it for now. It's there and ready to use just in case. I'm not trying to be a 'Henny Penny' or the Boy (girl) who cried wolf, but I think being cautious is the prudent thing to do. If something does happen down the line, I hate to lose contact with so many cousins. If you're on DW, we won't lose you.

We have to be careful what we say and post on LJ, our Russian cousins even more so. The user agreement is oppressive and intrusive, to say the least. I'm not leaving LJ unless I have to, but at least Dreamwidth is someplace to go where we can maintain the semblance of communities that have been here on LJ for so long.

Going through lists of cousins, I've found a number of Live Journal accounts that have been deleted. So far only one moved to DW and gave us her new user name. The others are lost... that's sad. Hopefully if they're on DW they can find all the MFU comms, and there could be a sharing of member names so we can send out invites to rejoin the other MFU communities.

Right now this is still all in turmoil, there's a lot of anger towards Live Journal. One had to only look at the comments to their birthday announcement. The majority were not positive though some of the comments were benign....safe happy birthday wishes.

I"ve done a DW profile under my same name, but generally read here first, I check DW occasionally also. If I get around to writing anything again I'll post on AO3 or FanFic and link to here, unless I figure out how to use DW first.
