The Unified Northern Casualty and Liability Exchange proudly presents The Great Episode Challenge.
This monthly challenge includes two prompts drawn from a single episode, allowing you to explore unresolved scenes, unanswered questions, and uncertain motivations.
And now for tonight's program.
In New York City, on a street in the East Forties, there’s an ordinary tailor shop. Or is it ordinary?
Episode: The Summit Five Affair (S4E1)

Prompt 1: When Lisa Rogers tells Illya to report to Harry Beldon, she says, “You'll have to expect him to be somewhat, uh—.” Illya replies, “I've worked with Harry Beldon. I know what to expect.” So the question arises…What are Illya’s previous experiences working with Beldon?
Many of you have stories that feature Beldon. This is a great time to share those again.
Prompt 2: We meet Lisa Rogers for the first time in this episode. As Waverly’s personal assistant, she is privy to top secret intelligence, including the location of Summit Five. (From The Master’s Touch Affair, we know she is also qualified to protect an innocent.) Her conversation with Illya indicates some familiarity with Harry Beldon. The questions…Why did Waverly choose Lisa and how much does he delegate to her? What is her background in UNCLE? Has Lisa had personal experience with Beldon too?
Inquiring minds want to know.
For the challenge, write a story inspired by one of the prompts. If you have already written a story that addresses any of these questions, please repost it.
Section VII is a Gen & Gen-mature site. Stories that are Het, long-term romance & AU can be posted in the Map Room. All other genres post in UNCLE du Jour.
