We all have that one scene in our heads that make us smile, or shudder.  Illya and the sheet he's threatening to take off, or Napoleon having his heart broken (again), by Clara.  Something that tugs at us and makes us love these guys more every year.
So, do you have a favorite scene or a favorite line?  We'll leave Fridays open for a while as we wax romantic, poetic or whatever describes your affinity for a particular image from the series.

Wow that's a tough one, as there's so many scenes to remember. Of course if it's involving Illya then I enjoy them all' the hospital scene you named of course is a favorite. titilating at the thought of Illya being naked. Any scene where he showed a little chest was a treat....or when he smiled.

Napoleon...that smile could melt your heart.

Then of course the scenes where the two exchange banter are always the best when one or both crack wise. Season 3 Illya was very snarky towards Napoleon, once in a while was okay but it was over used I think. Season 4 lost their camaraderie per se, there was no bromance, banter or real friendliness, which I think helped to doom the show.

II find that interesting that you said that, as I'm the opposite--to me, they seem closer than ever in Season 4--the season premiere gives us Illya's unshakeable trust in Napoleon as he goes under scrutiny in "Summit Five"--never once does he doubt him. We also get Napoleon ready to turn New York upside-down in "Deadly Quest" to rescue Illya from Karmak, another test of trust in "Gurnius," and the mutual mourning-followed-by-relief in "Maze Affair" when each thinks the other to be dead, only to find out later that he is alive, and "Deep Six" has the immortal "We have each other" line that, to me, defines their entire relationship in one sentence.

(All of those classify as my favorite moments, by the by.)

I agree Season 4 did have its dark moments--we get a look at the boys' failed protection detail in "J for Judas" and the whole disillusionment by the end of "Seven Wonders," among others (and "Seven Wonders" had an unnecessary amount of filler, too, imo). But for the most part, I thought S4 was solid and wish it hadn't been canned halfway.

Other moments I adore through all seasons are the rescues and mutual live-saving between our heroes. I never, ever get tired of those. And as you said, anytime they banter.

And anytime there's a closeup of Robert...

Not one scene, I think. But a classic is where Illya finds himself teaching a class of Thrushies physics - I'm afraid I've forgotten the episode.

And I agree Terbuf is full of good moments and full scenes.

Thank you! Yes, more than one good scene in that one.

Hmmm. Such a, lot of great moments. I le that hospital scene too, but I like a slightly more vulnerable Illya....like the scene from early in season one where he has been affected by the fear gas, and NS finds him crying and cowering and whimpering in a corner, then later he is ice-cool as though nothing had happened.

I also like the THRUSH cell scene in the Five Daighters affair, where he and Napoleon are colluding and making plans to escape and their young innocent companion thinks they have given up! Very suitably sneaky!

My all-time favorite shot of Illya is in Secret Scepter, when he is watching the decoy car explode to draw off the border guards. http://framecaplib.com/mfulib/images/sceptre/scept163.jpg
I think it is the most joyous of his smiles. Not restrained, cynical, or tinged with sadness like many of his smiles are.

One of Our Spies is Missing / Bridge of Lions Affair is one of my favorites. I love the scene where Illya and Napoleon's separate investigations collide at Corvy's flat.

Illya's line, "I think this is the hat the hatpin was in before it was in Mr. Corvy," has always tickled me. :D

On another day I might say something else, but:

The two of them having drinks in Waverly's office.

The way Napoleon says "Illya...." when he thinks Illya's been blown up in Fiddlesticks.

The way Napoleon just naturally holds IK's hand in The Master's Touch.
