Favorite MFU Moments... What's Yours?
Aug. 11th, 2017 08:31 amWe all have that one scene in our heads that make us smile, or shudder. Illya and the sheet he's threatening to take off, or Napoleon having his heart broken (again), by Clara. Something that tugs at us and makes us love these guys more every year.
So, do you have a favorite scene or a favorite line? We'll leave Fridays open for a while as we wax romantic, poetic or whatever describes your affinity for a particular image from the series.
If you need a reminder, check out Lisa's Framecap Library where you can review and reimagine life with an UNCLE agent.

Date: 2017-08-11 07:07 pm (UTC)II find that interesting that you said that, as I'm the opposite--to me, they seem closer than ever in Season 4--the season premiere gives us Illya's unshakeable trust in Napoleon as he goes under scrutiny in "Summit Five"--never once does he doubt him. We also get Napoleon ready to turn New York upside-down in "Deadly Quest" to rescue Illya from Karmak, another test of trust in "Gurnius," and the mutual mourning-followed-by-relief in "Maze Affair" when each thinks the other to be dead, only to find out later that he is alive, and "Deep Six" has the immortal "We have each other" line that, to me, defines their entire relationship in one sentence.
(All of those classify as my favorite moments, by the by.)
I agree Season 4 did have its dark moments--we get a look at the boys' failed protection detail in "J for Judas" and the whole disillusionment by the end of "Seven Wonders," among others (and "Seven Wonders" had an unnecessary amount of filler, too, imo). But for the most part, I thought S4 was solid and wish it hadn't been canned halfway.
Other moments I adore through all seasons are the rescues and mutual live-saving between our heroes. I never, ever get tired of those. And as you said, anytime they banter.
And anytime there's a closeup of Robert...
