The Unified Northern Casualty and Liability Exchange proudly presents The Great Episode Challenge.
This monthly challenge includes two prompts drawn from a single episode, allowing you to explore unresolved scenes, unanswered questions, and uncertain motivations.
And now for tonight's program.
In New York City, on a street in the East Forties, there’s an ordinary tailor shop. Or is it ordinary?
Episode: The Jingle Bells Affair (S3E14)

Prompt 1: When Chairman Georgi Koz of the People’s Republic wishes to visit Macy’s, Napoleon and Illya resist his request, saying it would be difficult to protect him. Chairman Koz tells his security chief, “That's what they said about Disneyland.” So the questions arise…Is the “they” Napoleon and Illya? What adventures through Disneyland might they have had? Did he insist Walt Disney give them the tour?
Prompt 2: Although Chairman Koz is the leader of a Communist Balkan nation, he never acknowledges Illya’s Soviet origins during the episode. The questions…How did Illya feel about Chairman Koz and his plans for peaceful coexistence? Did his heritage make the mission easier or more difficult?
Bonus Prompt: Napoleon, ever the ladies’ man, flirts with Priscilla Worth, the Salvation Army innocent. The questions…Was Napoleon very attracted to her? What would happen if he pursued that attraction?
Inquiring minds want to know.
For the challenge, write a story inspired by one of the prompts. If you have already written a story that addresses any of these questions, please repost it.
