Last week they had 'Без за́дних ног [bez zad-nikh nog]. which literally translates as 'without back legs'. It turns out that it means 'to be dead tired' or 'sleep like a log')

Date: 2018-03-05 08:20 pm (UTC)I have to agree, Russian idioms can be head scratchers, but all idioms are to a point when their out of context from their country of origin/native speakers... I think I said that right?
Glad you liked the story. Thanks for the info on the FB page, but I avoid anything like that after all the Russian hacking and trolling that's been going on. Never know when your personal info can get stolen.
It's getting to the point where I avoid a lot of sites now, decreasing my on line footprint.
Thanks for the comment cuz, as well as the compliment!
