LJ has been a little wonky lately. What I've done in the past is reboot my computer and somehow that helps.

The "new post editor" seems to be part of the problem for me.

I appreciate the complement, but I always feel like I am too verbose.

I don't the new post editor. I don't think you're verbose at all. If you were using a thesaurus for every other word, you might, but I don't get that impression at all. I've told people that I used to help with their writing, was to think of their writing being like painting a picture. Think of Monet, and how many colors are in his works. Never too much, and give us a perfect image. I hope that makes sense.

Your advice does make sense, thanks. I think I tend to over-explain when I should let the reader visualize more on their own.

There are times that explanations are absolutely necessary. It's like stepping out of the painting and doing a bit of narration, talking about something that would be difficult for the reader to visualize.
