This is a little piece of 4th wall silliness. It's under the cut.

“They’re getting close,” Illya Kuryakin whispered, as he and Napoleon Solo peered out from their hiding place. “They’ve been very quiet lately and I’m not in a hurry to come under their scrutiny again.”
“I agree, Tovarisch,” the American replied. “Although do I get of much more lightly than you.”
Illya winced at the memory of all the physical and emotional pain he had subjected to for over fifty-five years. They claimed to love him, yet couldn’t seem to stop hurting him.
“How long can we stay hidden in here?” Napoleon asked.
U.N.C.L.E. had confiscated a strange piece of technology from Thrush which allowed people to step into a mirror. Upon hearing the mysterious them coming, the agents had utilised it in the hope staying below their radar.
“Not too long,” Illya replied. “The device only stays active for an hour at a time, and then takes four hours to recharge.”
No-one had yet worked out the purpose of such a device but, for the moment, it was serving his purpose.
“Shh!” Solo hushed him.
The pair waited and listened to the silence.
“I think they’ve gone,” Illya whispered.
“Let’s get out of here before they realise where we are.”
