section7mfuI'm so glad that we've heard from a good number of the community as responses to Roll Call have come in. I invite everyone to check in with us, let us know how it's going as we collectively huddle against the onslaught of this virus.
I hope you'll embrace the possibility that what is evil to the core (possibly a THRUSH concoction, yet again), will not destroy us, and that the shared love of our Men from UNCLE will fuel our hope and imaginations to see that good does overcome in real life as well as fiction.
If you haven't yet checked in, please let us hear from you. We are a community, and that implies our care and concern for one another. Although our purpose on Section VII has been as a writing site, please feel free to share here if you need to reach out or just ramble a little about life. We'll repurpose in order to better serve the needs of the community.
I'm believing for the best, that in spite of the misery and heartache we've seen from Covid-19, there is hope that it will be eradicated. I don't hold to doom, and count the human spirit and the grace available to us as reason to look up and not be downcast or defeated.
Marian has informed me last night that one of her relatives has been diagnosed with the virus, and has possibly been exposed to it by her daughter, who is a nurse at one of the hospitals. Please keep Frannie Lawlor in your prayers, held up in your most positive and generous thoughts. It's one thing to read the numbers and know that it is nearby, quite another to put a face to it from among your own friends and families.
If any of you have a similar connection, please let us know. Those of us who pray will do so, and those who can generate the positive energies of faith and goodwill can add to our collective higher selves.
We're a community, we'll love and support one another.
