Wednesday Roll Call...

We've been taking roll for several days, and the response has been terrific.  It's so good to hear from our cousins and know how things are going for all of us.  We'll continue to have Roll Call throughout this time of troubling headlines and fractured lives.  

This isn't just a one time thing, Section VII is re-tooling just as many industries are doing.  We are a community, and so your posts can range from stories about MFU or your own personal accounts of how life is reflecting the current state of the world.

Roll Call is for our daily journal of living through this trying time, and hopefully the support and sharing will help us all carry on, and triumph over a very concerning episode in our lives.

Here! I'm perfectly content. I ordered Red Lobster yesterday and Door Dash delivered it. It was all quite civilized and contact-free. I can see myself doing that again.

I also did a couple loads of laundry and worked on organizing the guest bedroom and I will continue doing that today.

That sounds pretty good, delivery is a wonderful thing. I'm too far out in the country for food delivery, and bringing it home is usually disappointing from the 30 minute drive. Then again, we're sort of out of the line of fire.
I'm driving my cousin's wife to dialysis twice a week now, helps to keep my cousin from being too exposed. He's in his mid-eighties, so the less he has to be around people the better.
I'm doing the live stream church service on Sundays, along with the other musicians and our pastor, and the two technicians. It's interesting to play only to the camera, but more people are 'going to church' this way than if they were expected to show up. As long as people are being encouraged it's worthwhile.
And I'm getting jewelry orders, so I feel like my down time is worthwhile. All in all, my life isn't all that different at this point.

Still here in Washington. My spouse went to the grocery store yesterday and when he got home I went outside to help him bring in his purchases. I slipped off of our rock walkway and fell. I sprained my right ankle, hurt my left knee, hip, shoulder and tore up my left hand (which I had broken a few years ago). So I'm here but stiff and sore and miserable.

We are however planning our summer vacation - we are thinking of going to our front room. Very exciting!

My goodness, what a way to protest your isolation! I'm glad your husband is there to help you out, if you were alone you'd be in a pickle.
