Just Roll Call today, the other dailies are going to get a bye on this Friday.

We're still here, and hopefully we can all continue to touch base, as it were, to encourage and keep up with one another.  Marian's aunt Fran was released from the hospital after pneumonia and testing positive on the virus.    Marian is predictably grateful and continuing to lift them up for the good report to remain intact.

It's a sunny day here, and I'm pretty sure it's warmer outside than inside of my old house.  I have to run out for a bit later on, so will soak up some sun and warmth while I walk up to the church. We're live streaming some music at 4pm, an opportunity to encourage and hopefully inspire a few folk to keep on keeping on.

One of our members is an outrageously talented pianist named Jeff Stice.  He's been in the music business for decades, primarily in Southern Gospel circles where he has been awarded and lauded for his musicianship.  Happily, he's a Brownsville boy and recently moved back here, and has joined my church.  I've had the privilege of playing with him lately as he has joined us in our music ministry during this unusual time.  It is one of the unexpected high points of an otherwise troublesome time, but I'm enjoying playing with a musician of his caliber and talent.

Small favors I suppose.

How about all of you?  Anything surprisingly good that you've experienced in all of this?  That's what we look for, some bright spot that, although it doesn't solve or cure anything, offers hope that good things are out there and within reach.  Please share with us, whether it's an insight or an event in your life or someone you know.  Marian's aunt seems to have survived the virus and is now at home, so we know it's possible.

There is always a safe spot within the storm, I hope you're seeing yours.

OH has finally got rid of the treasurer duties he's been doing for the last 5 years, this last year has been very stressful for him. There has been a complete change of staff in the office and he can't read the figures on the spreadsheets in the accounts package they use as his eyesight has deteriorated and the print can't be expanded. But now he's free, hurrah, and can go out and attack the garden in the sunshine.

And we have had some sunshine this week. The shops are fairly well restocked. And our church has started live streaming a Sunday service.
