[identity profile] glennagirl.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] section7mfu

I hope this finds everyone still sheltering safely.  The sun is out here after several days of rain.  I keep thinking that perhaps the rain is washing away the danger of this virus, so that when the sun comes out we have some respite from it.

I admit without shame to being an optimist.

We have challenges here on Section VII.  Another admission, I haven't written anything lately.  My creative pursuits seem to be lingering around very tactile pursuits, needle work and papercrafting. I am going to try and get to a short affair today, after I return from my driving duties.  It's a day for my cousin's dialysis appointment, so that will be about five hours out of the day.  Thankfully, it's something that can be accomplished; another reason for gratitude in the midst of the Coronavirus disruption.

Let's hear from all of you, keeping in touch is so very encouraging.

Here! I'm going to post something fun over in the Canteen later for anyone who wants to stop by.

Still here! I'm hoping work will let up enough soon that I can do something fun -- like clean my house. Being home all the time is messy. ;-)

I'm still plodding on, though my muse has apparently disappeared. I ordered a sun hat the other day because it has been wall to wall sunshine for weeks, and I want to be able to spend more time in the garden. It came today...……….. along with rain.

You have my sympathy and my empathy. My hayfever has been playing up for a few weks. The rain has meant I've had a runny nose free day.

This is what happened to me! It rained here, a LOT, and as soon as it stopped I got a horrendous allergy attack.

Hey, life is good, man. Working from home, getting the house cleaned up, watching truly atrocious stuff on Netflix and Amazon (with a couple of good things in between), having overpriced food delivered to make me fatter ...

I love this, honestly. I want to do this forever. But I do miss seeing my peeps.

Yes. My aerospace job is "essential," supposedly. I've got it great. I'm quite concerned about friends and family who don't, because their jobs require contact with other humans (my brother is a sign interpreter and good friends are musicians). A lot of people are suffering and the only ones who'll really get "bailed out" will be the huge corporate interests.

I don't think this virus is anyone's "fault," per se - these things are going to happen in a global economy, and we'd be fools to think otherwise - but I know the rich will make hay while the working poor will bear the brunt, as always.

still here, still healthy (sort of)

our sunny and warm weather has been replaced with rain this morning. This is good for the garden; the lawn was getting rather yellow :-)
