About Morphology

What do biologists and linguists have in common? No punchline here, but they both study morphology, or the shape of things. A biologist would be interested in how the shape of a certain plant’s leaves or how the wing structure of bees have changed over time. The linguist will study morphemes, or the parts of words and how they combine to form words, sentences, and language.

Just for the record, UK pronunciation is slightly different: Mör-fol'ə-ji as phonetically written in my Chambers dictionary.

I don't see a difference... what am I missing? Mör-fol'ə-ji ... The 'L' is placed differently, but the pronunciation would be the same, barring your accent, or ours, depending on where we stand ;)
I wonder how many of these exist, with just a letter in a different spot?

Your phonetic spelling suggests the middle syllable is pronounced in the American way, FAH-L..., not FO-L - i.e. a stronger 'o' sound, that's all.
