Take a pet to work week

I don't have pets — just these on a mantelpiece. If I had the real thing, I'd need a very big bath tub, and possibly a cage. As it is, they swim and fly free and I don't have to feed or clean up after them.

Dolphins, humpback whale, and swallows

The tile is a copy from a fresco at Akrotiri, the ancient village on Santorini, buried by a volcanic eruption around 1600 BCE.

For the dolphins, a huge aquarium would be better, especially if you let them go out-and-about occasionally (we won't discuss humpback whales and their requirements!)

So far, they seem happy to leap about on the mantelpiece and haven't made the kind of demands that cats and dogs do. I shall leave them in peace.

Pets come in all shapes and forms. Where's the water? Though it could be quite messy with all the splashing and diving...."D

I think they have got used to swimming and diving in the air - being mammals, and when you're as small as these are, it's no big deal. No complaints yet.
