Prayers for Glenna

    Just to let everyone know: Glenna has been in a Kentucky hospital for the past couple of days. Apparently she had a much more severe asthma attack than previously, and the doctors were unable to get it under control. She's in ICU, and was listed in critical condition up until a couple of hours ago. The doctors had her on a ventilator, which thankfully, has now been removed. Her condition has been upgraded (to stable, I think) and she's finally awake.

     I'm very sorry I didn't think to post over here earlier--I guess I wasn't thinking straight. Anyway, please send good thoughts and healing prayer to our Cousin as she recovers from this rather scary event. Let's also hope that the doctors can diagnose what's really going on, because (IMHO) I'm pretty sure it isn't asthma.

Thanks for posting this, I'm just back from a long weekend away and catching up.

I hope they can balance her medication, I lost a niece to asthma. She's on my prayer list.

Oh my goodness, how awful! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Glenna's doing better today. She's still in ICU, but her condition has been upgraded, and she's off the ventilator. Let's hope the doctors can figure out her condition now.

Thanks so much for keeping everyone so informed. Of course she continues to be in prayers or thoughts or whatever!

I don't think some people realise just how serious asthma can be. My son is a sufferer, and I've nursed people with severe asthma so I appreciate just how life threatening it can be. I'm so glad that it sounds as if she is on the mend, though.

Glenna had a good night, and is expecting to leave ICU for a regular room today. The doctors still are not certain that asthma is the correct diagnosis though, so more tests...
