Written by popular demand as a follow up to the drabble posted last week called “Wedding Traditions”

It was rare that Illya Kuryakin found himself jumpy, at least that is in UNCLE headquarters. After the rather public prank he pulled on Napoleon at the Waverly wedding; he was beginning to take Solo’s threat of revenge to heart, almost regretting his joke at the expense of his partner’s dignity.

Does It Hurt? - A Little Drabble Do Ya 7/15

Sweltering hot with no place to go.  That was Napoleon's problem.  He had on a new suit too, but it was already designated for the trash heap as soon as he had New York in his sights.

"Illya!  Illya, wake up and untie me."  The Russian had been thrown into the cell a seemingly unconscious heap of pale and blond.  The guards hadn't bothered to tie him up this time, he looked so far gone.

"Be quiet, Napoleon.  Let us at least have the appearance of stealth."

"Oh, I guess you're sort of faking it."

"Yes, that's what this is."

Illya tasted some of the concoction cooking in a pot on his stove; nodding his approval.

He heard Napoleon call to him.

“Illya?”

“Kitchen.”

“What’s that?”

“You will see. Sit and I will give you some.”

“You cooked?”

“Yes.”

“I’m your guinea pig?”

Illya ladeled soup into a bowl, handing Solo a spoon.

“Mmm, delicious!”

“Egg drop soup made with chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, onions and two eggs.”

“So you can cook, other than boiling water tovarisch...more please? Cost more to make than getting it at Changs, I’ll bet.”

“Tsk. The way you are eating, it will…”

A comment from thehappygirl53 regarding first meeting fics has given me an idea.  Hold on, I know there's already a lot going on, and definitely don't stop working on the Great Episode Challenge entries that I know are out there.
Here on Section VII we're going to have a First Encounters Week for stories about exactly that: First meeting, first mission, first impression, etc... between Solo and Kuryakin.  I know some of us have already written an account, but there's always room for more.
As always we're talking Gen, between 500-1000 (feel free to write something longer), and posting with the tag first meetings.
The regular challenges can be utilized for these stories, or you can post non-challenge stories with this theme.
The dates are July 26-August 1.
I hope everyone will  participate and give us a  variety of takes on this very popular theme.
